The three-month Cyber Law course provides an in-depth understanding of the legal frameworks, regulations, and policies that govern the digital world. Syllabus:

  • Month 2:
    • Data Protection Laws: Overview of global data protection regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, and India’s Personal Data Protection Bill.
    • Intellectual Property Rights in Cyberspace: Understanding copyright, trademark, and patent laws as they apply to digital content and technology.
    • Privacy Laws: Understanding the legal requirements for protecting user data, including consent management, privacy by design, and compliance.
    • Cyber Contracts and E-commerce: Legal issues related to e-contracts, online transactions, and digital signatures.
  • Month 3:
    • Cybersecurity Regulations and Compliance: Legal requirements for protecting critical infrastructure and complying with industry standards (ISO, NIST).
    • Legal Challenges in Emerging Technologies: Addressing the legal concerns of AI, IoT, blockchain, and autonomous systems.
    • Enforcement and Penalties: How cyber law enforcement agencies work, penalties for non-compliance, and the legal process for pursuing cybercrime cases.
    • Case Studies and Compliance Audits: Practical examples of organizations dealing with cyber law compliance, incident response, and audit processes.
